Problems with EventReporter EMail Delivery Option fixed

We have identified and fixed a bug in EventReporter 4.01. This bug occurs with a small number of mail servers, only. If you are affected by this bug, EMail delivery will not work at all. If this is the case, please check the windows NT / 2000 application event log. Is there an entry "Debug: Fatal error (0) initializing transport"? If so, you need to have the fixed version of EventReporter (version 4.1 or above). The most current version can be downloaded from this web site.

Please note that current users with working installations are not affected by this bug.  If you are affected, no email processing is possible. Also, this bug occurs only with a very limited set of mail servers, so chances are low that users will be affected at all. We are issuing this news release just in case someone experiences problems during evaluation.
